For another year Lyaskovets Municipality will participate in the "Let`s clean Bulgaria together" Campaign, held on 14th of September 2019. /Saturday/. In Lyaskovets cleaning events will be held on 13th of September / Friday and 14th of September /Saturday/.  For the campaign the municipality will provide gloves and trash bags for the volunteers, participating. Municipal administration will participate in the cleaning of the two parks in Lyaskovets, children playgrounds, the town stadium and the area around the St. Peter and Paul Monastery on 13th of September. The schools and kindergartens in the town will clean the areas around their buildings. We invite the citizens of Lyaskovets to participate in the campaign. The volunteers may receive bags and gloves in the Municipal building on 13th and 14th from 8 to 10 am. The gathered garbage should be placed next to the garbage bins in the provided bags.

The Minister of Agriculture Dessislava Taneva attended the opening ceremony for the renovated culture center in Lyaskovets and visited a meeting with local farmers.   The meeting of Minister Taneva and local farmers was held in the former Youth center. More than 30 stakeholders attended, eager to discuss different subjects and problems in the sector. The Minister of Agriculture later participated in the official opening ceremony for the renovated building of the town`s culture center. The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Lyaskovets Dr. Ivelina Getsova and the chair of the culture center “Napredak 1870” – Mr. Vassil Rusev. Father Bogdan, local priest, blessed everybody with special ceremony and the guests were invited to take a look at the renovated halls, the library, theater hall, dressing rooms. The renovation of the culture center was part of the “Renovation of Community Culture Center “Napredak – 1870”, town of Lyaskovet” Project, funded by the Programme for development of rural areas for the 2014-2020 period.  The main activities of the project was dedicated to renovating and improving the performance characteristics of the building – changing the pavement, interior doors, renovation of the theater hall, including furniture and scene equipment, creating accessible environment to the library and other service areas, creating and furnishing new restrooms, changing the plumbing installation, building installation for hot water, renovating the alleys leading to the east and west..

The best home-cooks will present for fifth year in a row dishes with potatoes, homegrown in the natural and clean gardens near Dobi Dyal. Special jury will decide which one is the most delicious dish and there will be prizes for the three best cooks. The fest will be on 6th of October and will begin in 10 o`clock with greetings from the head of the local culture center “P.R.Slaveykov – 1903” – Mrs Ivanka Kostova. There will be guests from the nearby villages and other municipalities. For the music lovers there will be special program with traditional songs while the jury tastes and decides where the prizes will go. Organizers are the Culture Center “P.R. Slaveykov -1903”, local pensioner`s club “Edelweiss” and the mayor, with the support of the Lyaskovets Municipality.

In regard to the Law for regional development and as an answer to the upcoming challenges in the new programme period, begins the work on the Integrated development plan for Lyaskovets Municipality for the 2021-2027 period.  Its main aim is to set the main priorities, tasks and direction for the development of the municipality for the next 7 years. The opinions and ideas of the citizens of the municipality in regard to the current stage and future directions are extremely important for the work on the new plan. In 2021 the competition will be held on 12th of February in the hall of Youth center in Lyaskovets. Right to participate have all adults with permanent residence in the Municipality of Lyaskovets . Samples for the competition can be submitted in the Museum of gardening from 01.02.2021 to 11.02.2021 in the open hours of the Museum. The samples should be presented in unmarked bottles with a capacity of at least 0.5 liters. In order for the samples to be anonymous, the participants will not know the number they are registered for the competition. The competition will begin on 12th of February at 14:00 at the Youth center in Lyaskovets when the judges - professional winemakers, will taste the samples. After the tasting and the announcement of the winners, the contestants will have a chance to speak with the judges.

 “I love the nature – and I participate” - a call for project proposals by the Ministry of environment and waters and the Enterprise for management of the environmental protection activities (EMEPA), as part of the National campaign “Clean environment – 2021”.Municipalities, schools and kindergardens were able to participate with project proposals in the competition. The aim of the “Clean environment – 2021” campaign is creating positive social attitudes on the topics of preserving the environment, increasing the environmental culture and engagement. The activities, implemented as part of the campaign, are dedicated to increasing the environmental awareness, creating positive attitude towards the nature and developing skills and a will for preserving the environment.  The three local projects, granted funds for implementation, are developed by Secondary school “Maksim Raykovich”, Elementary school “Tsani Gintchev” and by the Municipality of Lyaskovets. Project “Learning and recreation outside the classroom” will be implemented by Secondary school “Maksim Raykovich”, Lyaskovets. The main accent of the project is increasing the environmental and aestetic culture of the students of the largest school in the municipality through outdoor lessons, different activities and supporting prositive behavior in the nature, all carried out in the “Outdoors classroom”. “Learning and recreation outside the classroom” project is a continuation of the already implemented project for upgrading the schoolyard. By creating “Outdoors classroom”, the shool activities will be a positive environment for creative thinging..
